Partnership Pathways at MSU-Meridian

MSU-Meridian has created Partnership Pathways with East Mississippi Community College and Meridian Community College. We hope to develop additional partnership programs with East Central Community College and Jones County Junior College in the near future. The Partnership allows MSU-Meridian to have advisors on the community college campuses. Their goal is to make it as easy as possible for students to transfer by providing information about the admission process, scholarship opportunities and courses you should be taking at your community college to advance towards a bachelor’s degree at MSU. Financial aid agreements also allow students to be concurrently enrolled at both their community college and MSU-Meridian. For more information about MSU-Meridian and the Partnership Pathways program visit meridian.msstate.edu/pathways.

Email meridianinfo@meridian.msstate.edu to schedule a visit to MSU-Meridian. The new Advising Center along with the Career Center is located on the upper floor of the College Park campus. Make time to visit our downtown campus, too! You can tour the Rosenbaum Building and see our state of the art Kinesiology program featuring the digital cadaver. Stop by The Bulldog Shop and get some MSU treats! Visit the Deen Building and meet the wonderful faculty and staff within our Division of Business. Finally, make time to see MSU’s Riley Center and imagine yourself there in a few years, walking across the stage of the famed grand opera house theater, accepting your diploma. What a great experience this will be and one to remember for a lifetime!

-Make sure you bring plenty of resumes printed on resume paper to hand out to the employers.

-Research the companies you think you might be interested in checking out. We suggest you try researching some names you haven’t heard of yet as well.

-Lastly, make sure you have an appropriate business professional outfit to wear. If in doubt of any article of clothing, try referencing our “Dress for Success” section on our website ( http://career.msstate.edu/students/career/success/ ) or look at our tweets from the past week. Several do’s and don’ts were addressed there.
