Participant Registry for Blindness and Low Vision Research

At The National Research & Training Center (NRTC) on Blindness and Low Vision at Mississippi State University, we regularly conduct research to enhance employment and independent living outcomes for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. This research often involves surveys or interviews with people who are blind or visually impaired.

This registry allows you to sign up as a potential research participant for NRTC studies, and studies conducted by external organizations. By joining this registry, you are simply agreeing to be contacted with information about opportunities to participate in research. You are not obligated to participate in any projects. Your information will not be used for any other mailing lists, and contact from us will be minimal. We will contact you periodically to make sure that your information is current. You can request to be removed from the registry at any time.

The registry questions should take less than 10 minutes to complete. The items include questions about your contact information, demographics, education, employment status, and vision loss. The more information that you provide, the better we will be able to determine which projects will be most relevant to you. Your contact information will not be shared with any other organizations.

If you have any questions about this registry, please call us at 662-325-2001 or toll free at 1-800-675-7782. You can also email us with any questions at nrtc2@colled.msstate.edu.

Thank you for your interest!
