Music Discovery Day 2018 - Registration

Monday, November 5th

What is Music Discovery Day?

It’s a chance to come spend the day on our campus and find out more about being a music major. You may be surprised at what you find out.

Who should come?

Any junior, senior, or community college student who is considering majoring in music or music education. Parents are welcome as well.

What will I see while I’m there?

You and your parents will meet our faculty members and students, hear performances by a variety of groups (both faculty and student groups), and have the opportunity to sit in on classes. There are also brief discussion sessions that are designed to answer your questions about majoring in music.

How much does it cost to attend?

The cost is $10.00, which you pay the day of the event.

What are the times for the event?

The day begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00.

What should I bring?

  • Casual clothes
  • Comfortable shoes (You'll be doing some walking!)
  • Spending money (Barnes & Noble has great MSU gear!)
  • Rain wear (just in case!)
  • Sweater or jacket (some meeting rooms can be a little chilly)
  • Music and Instrument (if applicable) for masterclasses

Anything else?

Lunch is provided for participants. Guests are welcome to join us for lunch for $10.00, but you must indicate this on the registration form.
