Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society

The Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society is an honor and service organization for students in colleges and universities in the United States. It is non-secret, non-profit, and co-educational; and, membership therein does not exclude a student from membership in any other organization. Gamma Beta Phi was founded in 1964 and continues to induct thousands of students at Universities across America. It currently has about 40,000 members. Right now Gamma Beta Phi is working with St. Jude, so students do community service projects to help fund St. Jude The watchwords of the Society ... Scholarship, Character, Service ... denote the three major objectives of Gamma Beta Phi: To recognize and encourage individual excellence in education. To promote the development of leadership ability and character in its members. To foster, disseminate and improve education through appropriate service projects. Each chapter pursues these objectives by procedures consonant with the local situation and in cooperation with the faculty and administration.

Gamma Iota Sigma

Gamma Iota Sigma is a registered 501(c)(3) educational organization and is the only international business fraternity for students of insurance, risk management and actuarial science. GIS pursues a mission to promote and encourage student interest in the industry as a profession while encouraging the high moral and scholastic attainments of its members. Since its incorporation in 1965, GIS has chartered 64 chapters across North America and boasts an annual membership of more than 3,000 students and an alumni population of over 22,000.

German Club at Mississippi State University

The MSU German Club promotes German culture on campus and in the community. We usually meet twice a month and plan activities such as movie nights, book clubs, and Stammtisch. Stammtisch is a meeting of friends to talk and chit-chat over food. We look forward to introducing the new members to the German Club!

Girls Engineering Change, Mississippi State University Chapter

This organization works towards bridging the gender gap in STEM fields. The primary purpose of this organization shall be to encourage young girls to consider careers in engineering by holding sessions that will allow them to be exposed to various global problems that engineers solve. The young girls will have the opportunity to build various items including solar powered USBs, small games, and calculators to be donated to the developing world. Through close interaction with college student mentors, we hope to inspire the next generation of female engineers.

We are the first medical mission group at MSU that offers students the opportunity to serve under privilege countries in ways of medical clinics, education, and more! We focus on areas such as Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua, and Ghana.

Graduate Student Association

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) provides programs and services to enrich the graduate student experience and promote, support, and represent graduate student interests and values. The GSA sponsors two main events annually to enhance student experience and showcase student achievements, the Graduate Student Research Symposium and the Graduate Student Awards Banquet, in addition to other programs and opportunities throughout the academic year. The GSA takes a leading position in the Graduate Professional Week and Graduate Integrity Week on the MSU Campus. The GSA also meets monthly to provide a forum for graduate students to network with peers, learn about valuable campus support services, and express concerns on both academic and non-academic issues.
