Instructions:

First, select the aid year for the document(s) you are uploading. Then complete the file drop steps below and upload one attachment per outstanding requirement. If you have outstanding requirements for multiple years, complete the file drop steps for each year. Once successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.

Guidelines for Submitting Documents to the Mississippi State University Financial Aid Office.

These guidelines are provided to ensure that documents are processed properly. Prior to uploading to Dawg-Documents, mailing or hand-delivering documents, follow these steps:

  • Verify all documents are clear, legible and complete.
  • Use blue or black ink (never pencil) on all correspondence.
  • Verify that each separate document submitted contains the student’s name, NetID and MSU 9-Digit ID number.
  • Verify that IRS tax returns are signed by at least one of the tax filers.
  • Check that documents that require a signature have HANDWRITTEN signatures; no typed or electronic signatures are acceptable.
  • Note that Financial Aid maintains all submitted complete documentation and generally does not return incomplete documents to the student or parent.
  • When using the Financial Aid Dawg-Documents Secure upload system, please allow time for the document file to attach. Large files can take several minutes to upload depending on the internet speed, please be patient.
