Course Details
MSU is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all individuals. UTV’S have become a large portion of vehicles on campus and can be very dangerous if not driven correctly. To ensure that UTV operators are well-informed about these potential hazards and equipped with the necessary skills to operate UTVs safely, we have established an online UTV operator training program. This program will cover the various hazards common to UTV operation, maintenance procedures, and safety tips.

Accident Investigation & Prevention Awareness

In this awareness-focused class, participants explore the purpose of accident investigations and learn the importance of promptly reporting accidents and injuries. With a strong emphasis on accident prevention, attendees gain the knowledge, skills, and proactive mindset needed to recognize and mitigate risks effectively, thus contributing to a safer workplace environment.

Lab Safety Training

Course Details
General lab safety training is required annually for ALL laboratory personnel; this course is designed to aid researchers in identifying hazards, understanding chemical and physical hazards, and to aid them in mitigating the inherent risks of working in a laboratory. Content includes GHS hazard communication standards, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), risk mitigation strategies (engineering controls, administrative controls, personal protective equipment), and appropriate chemical storage, handling, and labeling. TRAINING IS AT 244 MAGRUDER STREET (THE EH&S OFFICE), NOT 244 MAGRUDER HALL!

Bloodborne Pathogens

Course Details
Bloodborne Pathogens is a course designed for those who are at risk for exposure to human or primate blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) in laboratory settings. This may encompass activities performed in research, academic, or diagnostic laboratories. The laboratory-oriented course aims to convey how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure, and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course should be renewed every three years.
