Fear

Patterson, Jake

I joined the Marines a month after graduating high school, June 23, 2008. I served with India Battery 3rd Battalion 10th Marines as a field artillery cannoneer. I served one tour to Helmand province, Afghanistan from Nov, 2009-May-2010. There, I participated and supported in the invasions of the cities Nowzad and Marjah. After that, I was sent to 29 Palms, California for six months to train Marines to go to Afghanistan. I was honorably discharged on June 22, 2012.

This is just part of what it took to complete my deployment. I left out perspectives such as sights and smells, and just concentrated on the psychology. I'm sorry if its graphic, we weren't exactly passing out daisies.
