I am a senior majoring in biological engineering. I joined the Army on the day that I turned 17 while I was a junior in high school. I went to Basic at Fort Benning, GA the summer before my senior year and then I did AIT at Fort Benning the summer after I graduated high school. I am now, at the age of 21, a Sergeant with the Booneville unit. I love to hunt, fish and play sports.

This is a essay/short story of some of my memories as I was away at basic training. I was 17 years old and it was my first time being away from home for more than a few days.
