I am a Senior at Mississippi State University studying Kinesiology. Regarding my military background, I am a Reservist in the Marine Corps having served since October 2013 and I will be commissioning as an officer in early 2018. My Military Occupational Specialty is rifleman or 0311, which is our primary ground unit or infantry. After graduation and commissioning I will attend pilot training at Naval Air Station Pensacola where I will train to become a Marine Aviator.
This was a poem I wrote at the beginning of my Marine Corps career when I was in infantry school. It is a small glimpse at some of the profound moments that stood out to me and the purpose behind some of the training we underwent while in training.
Operated as a service to all Mississippi State students by the Department of English with the support of the College of Arts and Sciences and the QEP's Maroon and Write program.
