CANVAS Admin Banner - Navigation and Financial Query Course
The Navigation and Financial Query Class is designed to give departmental users a brief overview of Administrative Banner and how it is used at Mississippi State University. This introductory class offers users the opportunity to become acquainted with navigating through the system and learn some of the querying capabilities available. Several pages are covered showing users how to obtain fund balances, budget and expenditure activity, vendor information, track the progress of a purchase and much more. This course is separated into several modules which will begin with a PowerPoint presentation and an introduction to Administrative Banner. Next, we will cover navigation skills and setting up a personal menu. Finally, we will explore the options available for viewing the status of departmental budgets and financial transactions. All modules must be completed in the order listed and the quiz must be submitted. To follow the examples in the course and become a user, an Admin Banner Production account must be setup. This account will allow you to access Banner and view data in the system. For more information on setting up your Admin Banner PROD account, visit the Administrative Banner: Getting Started site page found in the Service Desk Knowledge Base. NOTE: This class is a one-time prerequisite (requirement) for all other Banner Classes. If you do not complete this course, you will not be able to register for other Banner courses.

Classroom Observation
Our university is committed to delivering the highest quality instruction, and we believe that a classroom observation can significantly contribute to your growth as an effective teacher while showcasing your dedication to continuous improvement. Participating in a classroom observation offers numerous benefits, including enhancing your teaching effectiveness, fostering greater student engagement, and providing a focused pathway for professional development. By signing up for a classroom observation, we will visit one of your class sessions and offer valuable feedback on your lesson planning and delivery. The CITE Classroom Observation process includes a pre-observation meeting, an in-class observation, a student survey, and a post-observation discussion. Through this comprehensive approach, we ensure that the observation experience is thorough and constructive. Upon completion of the observation process, you will receive a detailed Observation Report presented in a standardized format. The report will encompass insights from the observation, valuable student feedback, and practical suggestions for future improvements, ultimately assisting you in refining your teaching techniques.
