The Mississippi Gamma chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) at Mississippi State University is a nationally recognized honor society in all health professional fields. We strive to encourage excellence in scholarship, to stimulate an appreciation of the importance of education in the study of all health professions, and to bind together similarly interested students. We welcome all pre-health majors, including those pursuing careers in Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Veterinary Medicine. Our chapter is actively involved in numerous volunteer projects on the MSU campus and the Starkville community. Our current goal is to unite all pre-professional majors under one entity. We are seeking active members who are willing to share ideas that will impact the lives of others.

Founded in 1924, Alpha Lambda Delta is an honor society for students in their first year at an institution of higher education. We recognize those students who have succeeded in maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA, and are in the top 20% of their class, in their first year. Alpha Lambda Delta's mission is to "encourage superior academic achievement... to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their unique roles in society."

The Exercise Science Honor Society is an honors society solely for Kinesiology majors. It has several ways in which you can get involved in helping your community through different events, races, and volunteer opportunities. We have physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, fitness professionals, and other health professionals come each semester to talk to ESHS and answer any questions you may have. We will also offer tips and advice for advising, filling out graduate school applications, and take a trip to visit nearby graduate schools.

The Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society is an honor and service organization for students in colleges and universities in the United States. It is non-secret, non-profit, and co-educational; and, membership therein does not exclude a student from membership in any other organization. Gamma Beta Phi was founded in 1964 and continues to induct thousands of students at Universities across America. It currently has about 40,000 members. Right now Gamma Beta Phi is working with St. Jude, so students do community service projects to help fund St. Jude The watchwords of the Society ... Scholarship, Character, Service ... denote the three major objectives of Gamma Beta Phi: To recognize and encourage individual excellence in education. To promote the development of leadership ability and character in its members. To foster, disseminate and improve education through appropriate service projects. Lambda Alpha is the National Anthropology Honors Society. Students must be members of the national honors society to be eligible to join the student organization. The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is an honor society that recognizes and elevates high-achieving students. Less than 10 percent of students at institutions with NSCS chapters qualify for membership each year. Nominees must be in their first or second year of their undergraduate career, and have earned a GPA of 3.4 or above.NSCS is proud to offer nearly half a million dollars in scholarships, But more than that, NSCS is a growth opportunity, leadership training ground, and resource. Tau Beta Pi is the only engineering honor society representing the entire engineering profession.
