We practice a new and unique traditional Japanese martial art. Taido is a martial art that involves moving your body on a dimensional axis. In other words, you move yourself (mainly your head) out of the way of an attack to create a counter attack. No experience or physical strength required. A good, fun workout. No selection process. If you feel that Taido is for you, membership dues are $25 a semester, and a uniform is $50. You must be a student member to run for officer positions. Our goal is to spread knowledge of this martial art and give motivated individuals a workout that is fun and challenging but not too difficult. The events we hold are Kangeiko, Workshop, Competition, and Summer Camp. Kangeiko is the official first workout of the New Year. Our club travels to Atlanta, GA and participates in 1,000 punches. The Workshop is a home event where senseis from other schools of Taido come to us and teach for a couple of days. The Competition is held in Atlanta, GA. We put our skills and knowledge to the test against other members of Taido schools. Summer Camp is held in Florida. Everyone congregates, trains for two days, and takes a belt test on the beautiful beaches of Panama City, FL.
