The purpose of Camp Kesem at Mississippi State University (CK-MSU) is to provide leadership and volunteer opportunities for the students of Mississippi State Univeristy while serving the Starkville community and the state of Mississippi. Camp Kesem recognizes and embraces the often-overlooked population of children affected by a parent’s cancer. A one-week long summer camp will be organized each year for children six to eighteen years old whose parents have had or currently have cancer. No other type of child may participate in the camp. Camp Kesem will be a place where these children can experience the simple joys of childhood and relate to other children in similar situations. Student leaders of CK-MSU will organize all aspects of the camp and fundraise enough money for every child who attends the camp to do so for free.

We are a word based campus ministry and do not teach anything that cannot be substantiated by God’s word. We stand on three principles Chosen to Lead, Chosen to, Chosen to ("C3"). C3 comes from the foundational scripture, found at I Peter 2:9. Chosen Campus Ministry is a real, relevant, and radical campus ministry that is “Teaching the Word, Doing the Work, and Touching the Lives of today’s college students!” Currently, we have Bible Study on Mondays at 7pm in the Chapel of Memories. As a registered MSU organization our purpose is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ across the university campus. We also desire to be an on-site body of believers that will encourage faculty, staff, and students in their walk with Him amidst their daily activities at MSU. As an open forum committed to help provide scriptural answers to questions that we all face in a secular academic environment, we work together to promote and host various functions and activities that will embrace the Word of God and challenge us spiritually.

We are a Christian Agriculture based club founded on the belief that we should walk in Christ's footsteps by being stewards of the land and to each other. We also strive in growing spiritually, as well as academically. We not only host bi-monthly Bible studies, we also venture into the community to assist local farmers and producers with various projects from hanging gates, to working cattle, to clearing overgrown fence lines. Members not only benefit from hands on experiences, they also benefit from positive relationships and networks they form.
